Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Lead with Empathy: Understand each child’s unique journey and foster an environment where they feel valued, heard, and understood.
Cultivate Team Synergy: Develop and lead a dynamic team of mentors, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and mutual respect.
Champion Our Core Values: Imbue our camp’s philosophy in every activity, ensuring our young heroes emerge with stronger leadership skills, boundless curiosity, and an unshakeable resilience.
Operational Excellence: Oversee camp operations, from scheduling and camp set-up to safety protocols, ensuring smooth sailing at all times.
Engage the Community: Build and maintain relationships with parents, guardians, and our heroes, ensuring they’re enrolled in our mission and values.
Ideal Candidate:
- Has a deep-seated love for children and is passionate about their growth and development.
- Possesses strong leadership skills, with an emphasis on empathy, team-building, and program development.
- Has a growth mindset and wants to instill that in others
- Has experience in educational or recreational program management.
- Is energetic, creative, solution-oriented, and always leads by example.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, can build trust and rapport with parents/guardians, and team members.
Requirements:

Must be 18 or older
High School Diploma or GED
At least 2 years of experience in a day camp, child and youth development, education or comparable setting - Must be committed to 40 hours per week during camp sessions
Experience supervising staff preferred
CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:
American Red Cross
American Heart Association
American Safety & Health Institute
Fingerprint clearance from DOJ/FBI required prior to working; additional CACI clearance

Compensation Range:
$25 – $30/hr
